I am a freelance editor and writing consultant with a Ph.D. in English. With over twelve years working as an editor and writer, I bring the very highest level of editing, coaching, and consulting skills to your academic, business, or non-fiction report, article, thesis, book, or e-book project.

services :: manuscript evaluation

manuscript evaluations graphicIT’S ALL ABOUT INSPIRATION. That’s what people say, but in truth, good writing demands hard work and perseverance. With a Ph.D. in literary theory and a published book on the subject, I know how hard it is to look objectively at your own work.

I bring a keen eye for detail and a friendly, “been there” understanding to the difficulties of creating strong, persuasive writing in today’s literary marketplace.

Whether you are looking for an agent or to publish your own e-book, and whether you’re looking to attract an academic or a popular audience, I will take the time to understand your motivations and goals and give you ideas and direction for finding the path forward.

I have worked as an editor for over 12 years, and my writing credentials include both fiction and non-fiction. I evaluate all forms of non-fiction, including self-help e-books and academic monographs, and occasionally take on certain genres of fiction. I encourage you to contact me to see if I would be the right fit for your work.

Working as your ideal reader, I will help you to

  • develop a critical eye for writing technique
  • play with format and the presentation of ideas
  • move easily between the big picture and the small details
  • enjoy the journey of creation
